Unetbootin is a tool for creating live boot USB media for Linux distributions. It supports most of Linux distributions to create bootable media. Using this tool either we select the specific version of Linux distributions and it will automatically download distribution ISO from web or we can select already downloaded ISO file. Install Unetbootin

Unetbootin latest packages are available under ppa:gezakovacs/ppa repository. Use following commands to add repository and install Unetbootin.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gezakovacs/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install unetbootin
Create Bootable USB

Start Unetbootin application and attach your USB drive to your system. Now select distribution name and version from drop down for which you need to create bootable USB. Else you can select ISO from your system.
